INTO THE GROOVE
Started new series of pieces called “Into The Groove” (reference is pretty clear, no? đŸ˜€
Kind of turning point – the title itself explains quite a bit and at the time of writing this post, I am working on categorizing almost most of the pieces I wrote so far, since I found the a common ground. Let´s see where it goes. Check it out soon…

Huge ensemble piece where I finally experimented with certain heavy dialecticts
that were always sneaking through my pieces, but here finally found their ultimate place.
The piece full of unpredictability, even for myself.
There is recording, need to mix it and will hopefully put it online someday…

my new record, ELEMENTS, is OUT NOW!
I was working quite long on this but it turned out pretty well.
It is cut in specialized cutting studio which helped to transfer
critical sub frequencies onto vinyl as good as possible.
This one is pressed on transparent red vinyl.

TERRIBLE FAKE

Terrible Fake explores rhythmic relationships between drums and piano
in context of somewhat crippled art of trip-hop.
It is mostly based on irregular beats in order to create
kind of fragmented groove.
I wrote a piece for Ensemble Platypus for upcoming Wien Modern Festival.
The piece is based on fragments of some songs of Velvet Underground,
therefore the name “When I Put a Spike Into My Vein“.

I had amazing cooperation with zweite liga fĂ¼r kunst und kultur
which turned to music theatre called “Abuse”, based on novel of Ivo Andić.
Performances are on 27th and 28th March, 2015. at Forum Stadtpark, Graz.
Elevation is interactive performance for drums. I am sitting in elevator and play different beats.
The audience has opportunity to be a part of the piece, in the way that
each time someone calls the elevator, I will change the beat.
In this case, audience can also determine the duration of each beat.
